Concussion: A Guide For Equestrians

This webinar is aimed at all equestrians and everyone involved in equestrian sports, from physios to coaches and riders themselves.

It will look at what concussion is, how to recognise it, the importance of recognition, and the current guidance on management.

It will also explore the Graded Return To Riding guidelines recently published by British Equestrian, and how to put the guidelines into practice.

 

Lecturer: Sarah Rennison qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of Bradford in 2010. She currently works in the NHS as an MSK clinical specialist; covering both outpatients and First Contact Practice. She has worked in rugby union since 2011 and currently works with the Yorkshire Rugby Academy and Yorkshire RFU. She holds a current RFU Pre Hospital Immediate Care in Sport Level 3 certification. She is also an ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist, having qualified in 2019 and completing her MSc in 2020.
