Who We Help
Vets
ACPAT strives to form strong relationships with veterinary professionals to promote the gold standard of animal physiotherapy & rehabilitation professionals who Vets and veterinary professionals alike can trust and have confidence in when referring cases.
ACPAT can help organise speakers for CPD events within veterinary practices or for veterinary students – just get in touch to discuss your needs.
We can also put you in touch with qualified physiotherapists within your area or help you get in touch with a physiotherapist with specific expertise that you require.
Vets can also benefit further through our affiliate membership scheme. Affiliates will receive the Four Front Journal containing research reports and case studies as well as the electronic newsletter with information about upcoming events, courses and other news. Discounts are available for ACPAT courses and the 2 day annual seminar, a friendly event where a wide range of excellent speakers cover both small and large animal topics and present their research.
Students
ACPAT is here for students at all stages of their careers; be it at the point of choosing your A-level subjects to qualified Chartered Physiotherapists embarking on their Veterinary Physiotherapy training. We have a strong student liaison network to enable you to benefit from being part of the ACPAT community from the beginning, with a Veterinary Physiotherapy Student Representative and an Education Officer on the committee to answer your questions or even arrange to deliver careers talks at your current learning facility.
Once enrolled on an ACPAT approved MSc/PGdip programme, you can become a student member of ACPAT to access courses, seminar and regional groups plus a large facebook community to enable you to be involved in CPD, clinical case discussions and professional affairs even before you qualify.
